Design, whether in the various disciplines of architecture or planning, is a service business and that is the basis of JDBA’s design and management philosophy. We believe that the quality of the services we provide to our clients has a direct and inseparable relationship to the functional and aesthetic quality of the completed project.
 
Central to the firm's design process are the following project management elements:
  • The principal of the firm is involved from the beginning of design through construction completion. 
  • An associate of the firm is responsible for managing the design team as project director. 
  • The design team must include client representatives, consulting engineers and contractors, if appropriate.
  • Teamwork is key.
  • The same project design staff is involved throughout all project phases, including construction completion.
  • Every design decision must be held accountable to the client’s program including the construction budget and schedule.

The quality of JDBA’s completed projects is best determined by how successfully they meet the owner’s program goals. The mark of this success in meeting or exceeding the client's program goals is evident in JDBA's high repeat business rate.
