Modernization program included the
Historic
auditorium, library, classrooms, restrooms, technology, and life safety,
lighting, security and fire alarm systems. All of these code
upgrades and improvements needed to be tailored to accommodate the
varying construction types and age with original construction dates
from 1928 - 1966. Since the buildings varied in design, it became a program
requirement to respect the historical nature of the original
structures as well as to design the new improvements in a manner that
could provide more continuity to the campus. The 111,149 square feet project
also included the addition of sustainability
features such as sky lights.
