As Associate Partner at Langdon Wilson Mumper Architects, James D. Black served as
Project Director for this building comprised of two stories of office space
over ground floor retail and restaurant space,
comprising 75,000 square feet. The project is located on Pasadena's most
prestigious commercial street, Lake Avenue.
The developer's concept included creating a mixed-use commercial center with
a European ambiance. The design team developed this concept into a
street oriented, pedestrian friendly destination. Anchoring this development
of new buildings is a historical restoration and adaptive re-use of a former
jewelry store into a gourmet restaurant, also designed by the architect. The project also included a five level
parking structure housing 300 parking spaces.
